Alabama could have arguably the best offensive line in college football this season.
The return of Kadyn Proctor from Iowa via the NCAA transfer portal is huge; however, the Crimson Tide also has the best guard duo with Tyler Booker and Jaeden Roberts. Booker, a junior, is heading into his money season in the fall in terms of next year’s NFL Draft. He finished last season as a first-team All-SEC honoree at left guard, helping the Tide to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff appearance. Booker allowed only 2.5 sacks and 4.5 quarterback pressures in 676 snaps in 2023. He secured 41 knockdown blocks, averaging a team-high of 3.4 per game. The former five-star in the 2022 signing class missed only the South Florida game a year ago because of back spasms. Booker has an opportunity to be a first-round selection up front with a marquee campaign. He played at 355 pounds as a sophomore, but the Connecticut native has made a change this summer that will help him be more dominant. He discussed it with Roger Hoover of Crimson Tide Sports Network.
