Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese was spotted with rapper G Herbo in June and NBA star Kevin Durant in July, and she finally addressed any dating rumors on her podcast.
WNBA fans are eager to learn more about Chicago Sky rookie forward Angel Reese’s life off the court as she ascends into superstardom, particularly her dating life.
Reese was spotted back in June alongside Chicago rapper G Herbo in his Tesla Cybertruck, sparking rumors that the two could possibly be together. On the first episode of her new podcast “Unapologetically Angel,” Reese was asked by her cohost if the rumors had any hints of truth to them.
“There was a video that someone snuck in a car of you and G Herbo that blew up all over the internet, what was that situation?” Reese was asked.
“When I tell you I can call G Hero to this day,” she said. “That is somebody that if I ever need anything in Chicago, he told me that from when I got drafted, if I ever need anything, I’m straight. [There] wasn’t even no flirting or anything, it was straight off like ‘I got you sis’, making you that you’re straight.”
Reese then discussed the night the two of them were together. “We went out to Bevy (a club in Chicago) that night. I am 6’3 and he is 5’10… I sat in the front seat of a car that wasn’t tinted and my friends were in the back and [the windows] were tinted and that was that.
“I mean you didn’t see me in the car kissing this man, so where’d you even get that from? But obviously, that’s somebody that I can literally call anytime like bro, ‘I need this in the city’ or ‘Where should I go’ if I need anything.”
Reese is not confirmed to be dating anyone, but she did leave a trail of breadcrumbs throughout the summer linking her to Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren. The two posted nearly identical Instagram stories from the same beach in July, and Reese posted a video to her story weeks later where she was wearing a Pistons hoodie.
On her podcast, the Chicago Sky rookie also addressed the outlandish rumors connecting her to Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant. The pair were sitting together at a game in late July.
“No that’s not a thing, I don’t know how that ever became a thing because I sat next to somebody,” Reese said. “My friend was sitting next to Steph [Curry]… I don’t know where that even came from. KD has literally been my favorite player since I was a kid and is still my favorite player.”
Durant’s mother, Wanda, watched Reese play earlier this year. “I love his mom,” she said of the older Durant.
