The Baltimore Ravens’ defensive back, and former player under Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa, donated $250,000 to the Alabama College of Communication & Information Sciences, according to Tide Illustrated, for a sports broadcasting program.
Humphrey also gave an additional $50,000 to the athletic program to provide equipment and travel funds for wheelchair athletes.
Since Humphrey joined Baltimore from Alabama in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Ravens have won at least 10 games in five seasons and have one losing record, when they went 8-9 in 2021.
A former Hoover High School and Alabama standout, Humphrey missed the first four games of the 2023 season after having foot surgery during training camp, two more November games because of a calf injury and the regular-season finale and 34-10 playoff victory over the Houston Texans with a calf injury.
Humphrey was a three-time All-State football player at Hoover High School, and the Buccaneers captured the AHSAA Class 6A football titles in 2012 and 2013. Humphrey also won six individual state track championships with the Buccaneers.
Humphrey played on Alabama’s CFP national championship team for the 2015 season and was a first-team All-American selection by the Football Writers Association of America for the 2016 season before he entered the NFL as the 16th player picked in the 2017 draft.
